The J Family

Here is the J family. Above is Jeremy

This is Jazz

Jasper

Jody

Jessie

And foster mom Tilly. She nursed one litter of her own kittens and then these guys came in as orphans and she raised them too.
Kitten season is in full swing. These lucky guys will get good homes. Many across the country will not be so lucky.

Three little guys came in yesterday, their mom had been killed and a kind woman fed them and then caught them and delivered them to the shelter with a donation. Good time to g ive your local shelter a donation if you can. Good quality kitten food is always welcomed.

So cute! And may I say that they all seem to share magnificent sets of whiskers? Hope that they all find good homes. Our local shelter will only home kittens in pairs.

Thats very interesting Eric....I wonder if that cuts down on the amount adopted out.

Its a very good idea tho...if they can get people to do it!

I was just so caught up in kitteny magnificance that the whiskers just... didn't register. But you're right, Fat Eric!

What a bunch of sweeties! As for Eric's comment about only adopting in pairs is a good one. Many people might think that it will be twice as much work, but it isn't. There are more costs because of V-E-T visits, but the amount of work is the same. Then there is the mental well-being of the kittens. Just look at Ramona and Harper. Getting two kittens at the same time means that they will always have each other for company and play. A happy, tuckered-out kitten is a lot less destructive than a bored restless one.

I agree with you guys...two is way better then just one. I actually think it involved LESS work. They helped each other stay occupied and I didnt have to worry about curtain climbing or carpet shredding. They dont seems to be freaked out when I go on vacation etc....they have each other no matter what.
